Golden Sands is the most famous resort at the Northern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. Situated at 18 km North of Varna, in protected area and with one of the best beaches in Europe. The beaches are 3.5 km long and up to 100 m wide, covered with smooth and golden sand! The old legend narrates that pirates had dug here huge gold treasure, but the Earth had punished them and turned the gold into wonderful sand.

The resort has 50 years of history and about 70 hotels of different categories from 2 to 5 stars. Most of them are newly built or renovated and are in no way inferior to the hotels in the most developed countries in the world. Most of these hotels have SPA centers with swimming pools with mineral water, which bring to the tourists health and beauty. Nevertheless that the most active season is the summer – from May to October, the natural factors (the clean air, soft climate, sea water, mineral springs and curative mud) are now contributing to the all the year round work of the resort.

The alleys of the resort are covered with cozy restaurants, which are offering traditional Bulgarian cuisine as well as dishes from all over the world. The small restaurants at the beach are very popular with their dishes of fresh fish from the Black Sea with unique taste.

The yacht port of the resort has more than 100 places for yachts. The biggest Aqua Park at the Bulgarian seaside is also situated here.

In Golden Sands you could find numerous entertainments for children – from pony riding to inflatable castles. When the night comes, the endless fiesta of the night entertainments starts. The gambling personalities are provoked by the several casinos and the dance lovers are befriended of the night clubs at the seashores.
